Our Supporters

Welcome:

Welcome to the Jamaica Scholarship Support Fund (JSSF) where our goal is to provide scholarships through financial assistance to outstanding and deserving academic students to help them complete their education and realize their educational dreams.

The Jamaica Scholarship Support Fund (JSSF) is a registered (# 1910073) Non-Profit Organization  administered by a committee of volunteers whom have offered their services entirely free of cost to the organization. Members of the committee are..Her Excellency, Janice Miller, Patron; Vivian Monteith, Executive Chairman ; John Knight, Secretary; Robert Kirlew, Treasurer; Alic Edgar, Assistant Treasurer; Rowland Gordon,  Tournament Coordinator.

The JSSF was founded four years ago by Her Excellency, Sheila Sealy Monteith, High Commissioner for Jamaica to Canada, with the objective of raising funds to assist Jamaican students in need of financial assistance to complete their education at a Canadian or Jamaican post-secondary institution.

Now in its 5th year, the JSSF annual charity golf tournament and dinner has grown to become a prestigious event in our golfing and events calendar, due to the dedicated work of our committee, volunteers, the unwavering support of our sponsors, donors, and all the participating golfers and well- wishers.

The successful outcome of these events has resulted in revenues of over $123k and profit of $49k. Approximately 87% of the profit have been used to provide scholarship assistance to 25 outstanding and deserving students at tertiary institutions in Jamaica and Canada. Without this assistance many of these students could not have afforded to remain in college to continue with their studies.

The 2016 JSSF Charity Golf Tournament & Dinner will be held on Friday, July 15th, at the Chateau Cartier Golf Course, located at the Double Tree by Hilton Hotel in Gatineau, Quebec. The event will include lunch, golf, and dinner at the Chaudiere Ball room in the hotel.
