Team Captains:
It is your responsibility to stay informed of tournament updates, rules and agendas. We will keep this page updated so check it periodically.

Everything you need to know to help us manage a successful tournament.

 

First of all, thank you for taking on the responsibility of being a team captain. Please read this document prior to arriving on February 1st, and make sure your players are in the loop. You have also been given an event agenda that outlines (weather permitting) our timeline for the day.

 

Instructions for checking in and getting situated

·         Upon arrival, leave your bag at the bag drop. Ballantyne staff will put your bags on the proper carts.

·         You are now free to head down to the Pavilion to check in and buy mulligans, enter the 50/50 raffle.

·         Once you’ve taken care of this, you can head to the range/practice green  to warm up.

·         Don’t forget the Captain’s Meeting at 8:00 a.m. at the Pavilion

 

Format/Rules

·         Men will play from the White tees

·         Women will play from the Green tees

·         We are playing a Captain’s Choice, otherwise known as a Scramble. Every player takes a shot, you pick the best one, and the team all plays the next shot from that spot. Continue until you hole out and record that score.

·         Every player’s tee shot must be used at least once per nine holes.

·          There will be a closest to the pin contest on hole #’s 4, 7, 10, 16

o   Ball must be on the green to qualify

o   Mulligans cannot be used to win

·          Long Drive contest will be on hole #17

o   Ball must be on fairway to qualify

o   Mulligans cannot be used to win

·         Observe all course signs and markings and play the ball accordingly

·         No gimme putts allowed

 

Your Responsibilities

·         Make sure your players are all checked in and paid prior to tee off

·         Keep your team’s pace of play – this is critical to ensure we finish at a reasonable hour

·         Manage your mulligans effectively and honestly

·         Keep an accurate score – don’t wait until you finish to write in scores. Double check your math!

·         Total your score and turn in your score card immediately following your round

·         Play safely and ensure your team has fun
